Worth a closer look but the price probably reflects the condition.

Thanks for the association and the disclaimer. If you can dig up the original listing, it's nice to tie these together. I think most of the sub $10K cars change hands every few years because they are hard projects. Doing my best to hang onto mine! :D

I went and looked at it and the price does reflect the rust. I estimate 25,000 in cleaning up the shell and I think that is if you do most of the work yourself. That said, the seller is quite interesting and we had an enjoyable meeting.

"descent condition"

That pretty much says it all.

de·scent
dəˈsent/
noun
  1. 1.
an action of moving downward, dropping, or falling.
"the plane had gone into a steep descent"
    synonyms: dive, drop; More

And appropriately, it includes a box of Sunkist lemons?

Sunkist box has a bunch of rubber bits for the car, engine mount etc. What I saw quickly was

1) Passenger fender with 2 inch hole, rest and seam looked ok, other fender was ok.
2) passenger front wheel mud guard (assume e9 as one as the e3 does) was gone with rot extending into the rocker.
3) All door seals and widow seals would need to be replaced
4) rust along the rear window gasket, down both pillars (near the Rondel emblems).
5) Rust along a portion of the front windshield gasket
5) Rust along the entire trunk lip below the trunk gasket.
6) Spare tire well missing but there was a replacement for that.
7) Rust along the edge of each door along the window seal.
8) both front floors need to be replaced
9) rust along both bottom lips (ex where fuel line etc runs on driver's side). This was similar to my Bavaria and was just surface but in these cars, I assume that can be the tip of the iceberg.

The shock towers felt ok , can see the front but rear was by feel since plastic alligator cover was actually intact and we did not want to crack it (they looked ok from underneath also). Fenders were all ok. Entire interior would need an overhaul, door cards were ok though.

How much would than a 3.0csi with no papers in similar shape like this car be worth (not runinng) and seats missing... Looking to buy it but how much to offer. I have another 3.0CS in poor shape so I would combine them.
