Has anyone redone the seat pad?

Has anyone redone the seat pad? What did you use instead of rubberized horsehair?
I ordered some rubberized hair, what seems to be available now is coconut and hog, and it just isn't going to do
It is very thin in some areas, very inconsistent, and rough

Burlap under the horsehair, new foam on top, kinda makes a sandwich.
