Thank you everyone for the prompt responses. I elected to get a new switch, because of the frustration of my desire to have a daily driver. I’ve had my car for two years. Extensive work has been done on the car. The car has been in the shop for most of that time. The forum has been amazingly helpful. My car, rust around the perimeter of the sunroof. Removal of sunroof, and reconstruction of roof. Two new webers, with tuning at Korman. New exhaust system with headers. New radiator with new transmission coolant lines. 123 electronic ignition. New headlights. Transmission serviced. Alternator rebuild. New ball joints and tie rods. Many more little niggling things. My car may be ready from the shop this week. My mechanic, Matt, at Thunder Bunny Racing in Greenville NC has been wonderful as a BMW aficionado. With his main job with the aforementioned business, he can’t allocate much of his time to my car. Once again, thank you all for your unselfish help with an amazing car.
