I need to replace my headlight flasher stalk on my 03/73 RHD coupe, it mounts on the left side of the column and I have found a replacement from a fellow forum member, problem is mine seems to only have three wires running into it and the replacement has five. A few months ago a local auto electrician wired my full beam to work with my driving/ spots via the spot light switch under the dash as a temporary measure so I’m not sure if the wires were re-routed or were never there in the first place??
Picture shows my existing wires, the picture showing the five wires won’t load up as it is too big, which is strange as it came through on my conversation ok but shows wires in White, Green, Yellow, Purple/Yellow and White/Yellow

Well the original plug has two yellows, one for each low beam, one white for the high beam and one green for switched power.

Thanks Chris,
So what do you think the two colour wires are (purple/yellow and white/yellow) . Both the units came or are on 1973 model cars, both left hand side of the steering column. Or would I be better off trying to fix my existing flasher unit
