The text in the ebay ad includes: "I do not think these are inter-changeable with 3.0cs or e9 models ". Is that accurate? I had thought that headlight grilles were among the parts common to both e3's and e9's.

Jay, I also thought this but have seen grilles where two of the upper mounting holes are in a slightly different position.

I knew there were two different mounting points but I thought it was more of a model year thing. Another thing to dig into for the model year changes. I’ll check my 2800CS after I flip it around in the garage.

I did a little checking on Real OEM

All Bavarias take a 51131811483 for the right and 51131811484 for the left

I checked a 1970 2800CS and it takes the same PNs
I checked a 1974 3.0CS and it takes the same PNs

There may be some E9s with different PNs. I didn't look at them all.
