Well it's come down to this for the final restoration touches- does anyone have the high and low headlights in very good condition for the '73 coupe? Not the holders, just the headlamps. We had a couple, started to buff out the dings and broke the glass. Our local junk yard doesn't have this vintage, be it BMW or Mercedes. Only very good condition is needed because we don't want to break it again. Thanks if you can help- PeterT

They´re still available new from BMW. About 50$ each inset (either high or low) and even available in yellow (french spec) if you want to stand out

Are you referring to the Hella Euro headlamps? Though if you need the US sealed beams I have quite a few of those just for the asking.

Sealed Beam are available new from BMW as well. And dirt cheap (about 30$ each)

Though why anyone would want to install sealed beams these days beats me...

Maximillians will order the Euro lamps for you with the city light for the H1 bulb. I have the lamps from Stern [H4] but don't care for the edge or rim on those. BTW - now is a great time to do the wiring upgrade to the headlamps. My voltage went from 11.2 at the bulb to 13.2- tremendous difference in illumination.

Hella H1 NOS

I have a set of Hella H1 NOS, no bulbs, flat lense, diamon cut, 5 1/2" if you are interested, period correct for the coupe, NLA.
