Gerhard hat written about this in the German E9 Forum 2 years ago - quoting his wisdom ;-) :

for the early E9s the headlights with the arched front glass were in use (the left one on the pic below - 63 12 1 351 106)

High beam will fit in E3 and E9 but they have much visible round lens. It is up to the end user to accept it or not.

Low beams does not have place for parking lights bulb as original insert has but they are told to be fitting E3.

It could make a difference for E3/E9 users having Headlight Wipers installed as they might not work as good as with flatter lens.

So if I understand correctly, the 63121351106 and 63121351109 Original Hella headlights are not what most e9 riders are looking for?

It seems they are not but maybe it is worth to list them here if you have them available.

Some people are not fixed to be 100% correct and from reflector mount perspective they can be installed on the E3/E9 frames.

This is my point of understanding.

They were sold out by W&N so there was some market need for them.

Can you also mention what they are worth now, because I have no idea whatsoever about this?

No idea. I would cost them below the cost of Hellas 1B3... (low beam with dual bulbs) and 1K3 ...(high beam). High beams are widely available. You can find them easily. 1B3... is not available from hella (despite yellow lens). I saw offers for 120EUR/piece!

I believe there are people who can tell more about.
