Headliner "Tiger teeth"

Those of you who have replaced headliner, have you re-used the metal serrated band that holds up the headliner pad in front or just used glue?What kind of rivets work best?

I left it off... I posted that question on the board about two years ago and did not get a response so I don't think most people know what you are talikng about. The guy that installed my headliner glued it directly to the windshield frame lip and I put the windshield in shortly after the headliner isntall. I kept the headliner clamped to the lip untill I installed the windshield because the glue they use these days can absorb moisture over time allowing the headliner to sag. Its a good idea to install the winshield shortly after you install the headliner (days).
