heating hoses

Hello,

anybody knows which one is the right one to connect the heating hoses ?
both pictures from repair manual.

I don't THINK it matters. As I understand the E9 heater, coolant flows through it all the time and if you want heat, you move the lever and air flows through.

So unless you have a show car, connect your hoses whichever way they seem to want to go. At any rate, if you don't like the result, they are easy to switch. I don't believe it would do any harm to the heater core if the water flowed "backward".
 
9 and 10 are the heater hoses

The pictures are funny! why because the hose numbers are switched in each one!

As Honolulu states the heater matrix has coolant flowing through it all the time so it doesn't matter which way round they are. From memory 9 is the one to the back of the cylinder head and 10 is from the tube that runs under the intake manifold and past the starter motor, but that's on my bucket so picture one on the left is right for me!
As long as the hoses reach either way round you should be OK
