Great to join up and be part of such an interesting group.
Been pedalling these things since the late 70s, they make my wife look cheap to run and quite reliable.
In short, my interests tend toward classic racing BMW cars. I've got a couple of e9's, nothing special, one in development of a period bubble flare racer (finish date 3 months away), the other may end up as a GP2 replica.
Lucky enough to ride to school as a kid in my father's CSL, it was like feeding crack to a teenager leading to a lifelong habit. Raced a few laps in anger in his E24 in the early 80's, other BMW based specials, e9 period type racer, following into e21 race cars, the last being a turbo version of an e21 shopping trolley. 400 HP divided into 205 .50. 15 tyres makes for an exciting ride, all good fun until an AMG Merc stood on it and ruined my day. Nothing left of the car to speak of, and very lucky to walk away with a broken rib, it pays to build them strong. And, a very good reason to build another, hence the current build.
Looking forward to reading more posts, learning more and being entertained.
