Hello guys

My name is Farhaad and I am a new owner of an American spec 1970 2800cs automatic. I am based in Johannesburg, South Africa so the car was imported here at some point. The car has been restored somewhat and is generally in good condition overall. I am hoping to forge lasting friendships with like minded people on here! I am also the lucky owner of two BMW E28 M5’s.... as one can see... my recent love for the Shark is getting a little out of control!

Apologies for the poor pics I will take some better ones soon and post up !

P.S. Any other South African E9 owners on here ?

Thanks Vince! That’s correct sir ! I’ve had them in storage for years waiting for the right car to put them on. I need to lower the car though... and I know this might offend the purists but I am seriously considering fitting air suspension...

Thanks sandhu...! I was very fortunate to find both cars in 2018 at fair value so couldn’t let them pass by! One is Aero Silver and the other is Diamond Black...

I’ve fallen crazy in love with all things shark it seems... I actually don’t know what the color is on my car... it seems very similar to the orange found on the Ford ST’s.... almost like an Inca with a slight metallic addition. It was painted about ten years ago by a dealer called Alberante BMW here in SA. They’ve subsequently closed down...

Any professional paint shop could easily match your car color and tell you the ‘name‘ and possibly for which car/ brand too.
