Just wanted to say hi.
Super excited about being fortunate enough to buy my dream classic car!

One happy owner of a 1974 (could be 73 too) 3.0 csi. I bought her from Netherlands where she was imported from South Africa. ViN number suggests YM somewhere between 1973-74. Seems she had an engine change to 5 speed (potentially from a 630 csi?).

Definitely in need of some tlc so went straight in to a garage where the restoration can begin. The plan is to stick to as much stock as possible with minor comfort/modernisation upgrades such as suspension, re-upholstery, wheels etc.

Would like to apologise in advance for the million questions/queries to follow in the next 3-4 months!

Thanks for your reply Chris.
Not sure if the seats are original to be honest as it seems she had a few bodged amendments which I intend to correct.

Thanks Chris
It does indeed start with a 4 so that’s that :). I will keep the posts coming as progress happens with the restoration. Sure I’ll have a heap of questions and parts/knowledge to source..

@nosmonkey thank you for your message and the WhatsApp group suggestion. Absolutely, would love to join too. Looking forward to getting involved in the discussions!

Nice car, and cool that you are able to achieve that dream. Just sit in it and admire it.

Never seen body colored bumpers before. I think I could get used to them, although the bling of chrome is attractive to many as well.

Thank you for your message.
I can’t wait to drive it!

I really don’t know why they coloured the bumpers and the trim. Definitely returning her to her former glory!!
