Help finding window lift parts

The other day while driving down the freeway I opened the passenger window a bit, heard a pop, the window slid down by its self and the door opened. OH F*#@K at 70 MPH

When I got to a place that I could open the guts of the door, I discovered that the plastic disc at the end of the lift arm had disintegrated and the metal bracket attached to the glass caught the rod for the door release. An easy fix for the door latching.

I found the broken plastic bits an E clip and a spring laying on the inside of the door.
I can't seem to find a source for a new plastic part or a diagram of how it all goes together.

Help please

Here’s a parts diagram from W&N and a pic of the glass bracket from the bluebook that connects to the arm. There is a spring that helps apply tension to the operating mechanism/gear. I suppose that shattered.
Regarding the bracket washers they can be bought or made as they are Teflon and the clip can be bought too. The spring may be unavailable unless of course a forum peer has an extra one.

Having just yesterday reassembled this part and having to deal with an inner washer that had disintegrated, I can tell you that one of the larger washers in this kit worked fine - it fit over the shaft and was just narrow enough in diameter to fit through the circular opening at the end of that slot. You could probably use both washers the same size as the mechanism never gets to that opening in its natural path, only when you are installing it. Regarding the spring, I don’t think it’s anything special, just enough tension to keep that outer washer pushed up against the window glass

I suspect that one of the springs in this kit would work as well as what you’d get from BmW - these aren’t high tension parts

Thanks all of you for the responses'. I do still have the spring and the E clip. It's the plastic disc that broke apart.

It would be helpful if someone has one assembled in the door they could take a photo of for me.

I suppose I could take the other door apart to see how it works and make a new plastic disc.

If you look at the picture @Jim Stone posted above, you’ll see that from outside of door to in its circlip, small black washer, large black washer and then spring. Assemble like that and then feed the small black washer through the circular opening on the slot. The window sits in between the two washers. As you mount the mechanism to the inner door frame you will pull the whole thing forward away from the circular opening thereby “locking” the window in place. Message if you have trouble, I just went through this
