help/guidance in DC / Annapolis area

Hello all,

There's a '70 2800CS that's been on Craigslist for the past few weeks and I thought I'd take a look last Sunday. The car is a bit of a mess, but how much of one is what I'm trying to figure out. My usual BMW mechanic is in Rockville and getting the car there for a "pre-inspection" would require buying and flat-bedding it.

Any chance folks here might have suggestions for an Annapolis BMW shop (one with knowledge of these older cars), or if a local expert might be willing to come out and take a look at the car with me?

Additionally, does anyone have experience registering such a car in DC? If so, any details on inspection hints and plates (historical or otherwise) would be helpful.

I have been using Tom at London Auto Services in Falls Church for repair - they guy knows the CS inside and out. Not sure if he'd go out and look at it with you, but I'm sure he'd look at it if you could bring it to him.
