Please help identify the wires in the attached pic. While disassembling my dash, I found these disconnected, wrapped in tape.

I have tried to find what they might have been connected to ( they were behind the instrument cluster) but I cannot find any reference to a switch or relay in any of the wiring diagrams I have (blue books)

There are 3 wires

Grey with red dashes
Grey with violet stripe
Ground

?????

Thanks.

On the diagram I only see a triple GR-RT and single GR-VI at the relay for rear fog light, item #64 so it makes sense it's not connected to anything.

Car was an Auto, is it still?

Are those the wires for the gear sector indicator thingy that goes on top of the dash?

This is what I was thinking as well. My coupe had a manual swapped into it, and there were some remnants of the PRNDL lights when I did the ignition switch and cleaned the terrifying old car alarm out of it.

All wires associated with the auto tranny gear selector switch and dash indicator lights are Blue with another tracer color and the plugs have many more leads.
