Help plz question about driveshaft clamping ring

26117514037 this is the part number for the driveshaft clamping ring i wanted to make sure this will fit the spline on our cars , because im missing the plastic piece i have the metal part of the clamping ring but not the inside plastic washer , the reason i ask is it says it fits newer cars and ive seen different spline patterns ,​

26121100992 this was described as a dust cover and i was wondering was this part used before we had sealed bearings? or do i need it even with a sealed center support bearing , also not 100% where it goes or if i need it
