Just had new clutch put in but having problems shifting smooth
First seems not fluid but boxy .. Trying to get in right spot.. Clash
Second will sometimes clash or clunk? Third as well, fourth feels pretty good.
I don't remember having this problem as much before the clutch was replaced
Shouldn't all the gears be synchroed and smooth going in especially with new clutch or have I just lost my memory of what they are suppose to be like .. Any help would be great ..very frustrated after having car gone for a good while

Thanks

I have a 4 speed and all gears should be smooth, perhaps the new clutch is now exposing a weak tranny or clutch is installed somehow incorrectly - did they replace the throw out and pilot bearings, and is everything aligned correctly?

The first thing i'd suspect is that the clutch slave was not properly/fully bled. This will cuase difficult engagement in all gears but particularly the lower ones. A clutch that is not fully bled will drag and allow the motion of the engine to be transferred to the gearbox even when the clutch pedal is fully depressed making shifting difficult or impossible.
