Any pro tips out there? Seems the bikes need to be original and stock or no-go. These are not.

You mean as for holiday or for import?

I'm no motorcycle expert, but I think
motorcycles follow the same legal structure as car imports do in the EU.

For car imports the rules should be the same throughout european countries; which means that if a car is registered in one eu country, you can transfer the title to any other eu country. In theory that is, as in practise not all transfers are successful. If a car was never correctly registered to begin with, the importing country may still refuse a registration in their country.

I think the same options, and limitations exist for motorcycles.

Nl has quite some lenient rules for Imports compared to say, Belgium.

One could try and register in Nl and then transfer to Fr, but again; no guarantee.

I have a pal with a half-dozen custom/choppers from 70s and it seems French rules forbid anything that isn't bone stock, even as a classic. I'm hoping for a "show or display only" kind of exemption.
