I've had my 3.0CSA coupe for a few years and now have started the process of making it road worthy. When I bought the coupe it had this part along with the connectors dangling freely. I have no idea what it is or where it goes. Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Looks like one of two cold start valves and the wires that go to the two chokes.

Yesiree. Zenith wiring.

Find the bolt and two aluminum or fiber washers ( thickness counts on the one closest to the carb, one either side, that attach the low temperature compensator to the carb- the one carb bolt is longer to catch the bracket on that peice. The one shown is for the rear.

The one wire, same peice, attaches to the choke on top and there should be a wire on it already which is the feed for the others. The small wire, same device goes to the idle solenoid left side of the carb. The wire continues in a series to the front carb. Same device, but three wires. One to the choke, one to the device, one to the idle solenoiid on the front carb.

That's a special bolt that allows air/ fuel in at below 40 degrees; but also is a point of vacuum loss. Snug and a little more. Early carbs didn't have those. So if you're feeling lucky , in warm climate, I suppose one could block it off.

The idle solenoids-are shut off valves for run on. They must be wired up.

The Zeniths are off and have been replaced with Webers. Does this mean there is no longer a need for them???

Got electric chokes? Then yes you do. manual or water chokes, no.

If not, put them in the spare box.

Thanks for the assistance as I do have the water choke set-up. I am a complete novice amongst genius and appreciate the feedback! :-D

Timely

This weekend Im going to covert from water chokes to electric on my Webers. Guess Ill need to start looking for this from the original Zeniths.
