Find the bolt and two aluminum or fiber washers ( thickness counts on the one closest to the carb,one either side, that attach the low temperature compensator to the carb- the one carb bolt is longer to catch the bracket on that peice. The one shown is for the rear.
The one wire, same peice, attaches to the choke on top and there should be a wire on it already which is the feed for the others. The small wire, same device goes to the idle solenoid left side of the carb. The wire continues in a series to the front carb. Same device, but three wires. One to the choke, one to the device, one to the idle solenoiid on the front carb.
That's a special bolt that allows air/ fuel in at below 40 degrees; but also is a point of vacuum loss. Snug and a little more. Early carbs didn't have those. So if you're feeling lucky , in warm climate, I suppose one could block it off.
The idle solenoids-are shut off valves for run on. They must be wired up.
