Putting my 1973 3.0 back together and have some questions

1) Front bumper, does the rubber stoppers point up or down? I hear the 73 point down ......

2) Seat belts, Looking to replace the seat belts, NLA. Which ones are suggested for the front and back seats?

Thanks,

Steve,
All the bumper guards point up except '73.

For belts, I chose to go with locking inertia reel lap belts from Andover Restraints. I know, 3 point belts are safer, yada yada... I have a set of 4 point harnesses for track driving. For the street, a lap belt is sufficient. I count on my driving to keep me off the dash, not the belts.

Andover Restraints also sell a 3-point belt where the shoulder belt can be anchored to the existing threaded grommet behind the rear seat. If you rotate the top of the rear seat out, the grommet can be found about 3/4 of the way up the seat. Andover's anchor bolt fits right up to the thread. The belt comes out between the seat and armrest. My brother and I ('70 + '71 coupes) have both had success with this method.

Here's Andover's page with the 3-point belt. Get the 90 inch belt. The plastic retractor works fine -- I haven't tried the metal one:

On my late '73, the bumperettes point up. I have tried to take them off and flip them over (in the event that someone along the way had them off and put them back on incorrectly), and they will not fit if I do so.

I've seen others affixed like mine, so not sure if there was a running change during production and this is the way later cars are, or if mine and the others I've seen are simply somehow flipped upside-down.
