Help with Carb

Idles perfect when cold, idles goes up after warm up.

The skinny hose from the rear carb goes to the distributor. There is another skinny hose from the opposite side of the front carb also going to the distributor.

Einstein came up with general relativity with just thoughts experiments, I want to nail this one down with thought experiments. Actual experiments get my clothing dirty.

Sounds like a vacuum leak that opens up when warm. Start with head to manifold gaskets, manifold to carb gaskets, base gaskets of carbs, throttle shafts, vacuum ports on body of carbs, vacuum ports on bottom of manifolds (where the EGR stuff connects), vacuum ports on front of manifolds (where the brake booster hose and the distributor hose connects).

Methods of leak detection include using unlit propane torch, starting fluid, wd40 (messy), etc depending on your comfort level. Watch for a rise or fall of the idle when spraying around connections.

Sending positve thoughts. Difficult to troubleshoot over the interwebs.
