Hey! that's my car? Early Alpina racer at Techno Classica Essen 2016.;-)

Anybody see Techno Classico 2016?

Why? A gent posted very recently a pic of an early Alpina racer via social media (BMW E9 group on FB) from a E( racer display . I could have sworn I saw couple more pics of the car (one pic was a rear shot with plate).

Wondering if it the same car that CCK Historic shop restored. But they built it as a later iteration.

"It was decided that the car had to return to its Group 2 CSL specification as campaigned by Tuisku Urpiala in Finland as 99% of that car was present and intact. Almost all of the original 2800CS components that would have been with the car when Alpina ran the car were long gone." CCK Historic.

Wonder if the car was reversed back to its 1970 'SPA winning' form.

Orange and black deck, two tone original Alpina racer livery.
Pics i saw had car behind cones.

Hi Shanon,

Yep that was the car. Took a few pics of the scares E9's in Essen, among the hunders of 911 and Ferrari's but forgot to take a picture of that one.:sad:

All in all I think there were 5 E9's to be seen, non of them for sale, apart from the Alpina B2 for €250.000,- below
