"Autocar" appears to be a British car magazine. Who in the non-imperial world knew?

So I went to their home page, after whitelisting them on my adblocker. The search function doesn't work for me, so I can't access anything other than their tabs. A control-f search of the webpage finds nothing related to "CS". Willem Tell, please provide further information if it can be done.

Whatever the result, I don't disagree with the OP's assessment.

Correction. It was # 24
BMW 3.0 CSL

  • An evolution of the 2.0 CS, and rare for improving on an original. The thin-pillared glasshouse and highshouldered waist add at least as much distinction as the reverse-rake nose.

As with all things beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is reported that Enzo Ferrari said the most beautiful car was the Jag e type. The e9 in very much in the running imo. Is there an absolute? Clearly not as it is down personal preference.

That list is just a bunch of click-bait. If someone were to list the cars they believed to be beautiful, I would anticipate that there would be a discernible perspective to the list.

What asthetic sensibility ties together a Lamborghini Miura, a Cord 812, and a 1961 Lincoln Continental?

Highly subjective.

I'm partial to the Art-Deco/Great Gatsby cars of the '30s. ANd Ferraris of course.

And maybe my favorite, this two-made only, Bentley Blue Train:

Off topic only slightly, what car(s) would anyone nominate if they have to cost less than $10,000?

We can all admire the megadollar cars, but in real life they are not practical, affordable not are they likely to drive as well as a late-model Civic. I'm exaggerating, a little, but still...

I owned about 15 2002s of various flavors and sold 'em all, one after another, for beans. While dated, there's something about the upright and straightforward simplicity of those that's attractive, and you can still get (a beater) for under 10 large. So let's hear it!

A beater 2002 would still be at the top of my "<$10K list". (These days <$10K might be a bit ambitious!, but a great idea!)
I haven't owned one, but a beater boxy little Alfa Giulia Super looks like it would be fun.
If you haven't seen Cool 'n Vintage's videos, check them out.
The Tii video is great,
and the Toyota Land Cruiser with the... dog...

ohmess is right, as those lists are created just to get you to accidentally click on an advert, not actually see a list based on serious input. I was mainly interested to see where the E9 landed. If it had not made the list , well ... that would have just not been possible!

yeah... and crotch shots of girls in car videos are off-topic.

Seriously, my cuz had an early FJ. She warned that the wheel cylinders rusted up if it got damp. Surely my 2002s had problems, but for a vehicle intended for off-road (which that video hardly was) this shouldn't have happened. Don't get me started...

Hey, d'y'know what 4-wheel drive is for? ... To get you stuck farther from the road!

We resume our regularly scheduled serious stuff at this point. NOT.
