Hood brace on one side kaput-any ideas?

Hey all...have a 2800CS with a broken hood brace--will try to repair, but kind of dicey..looks like the braces are attached to one another via a rod in between. any ideas on whereabouts of a good used one? tried the LaJolla parts guys with no luck....thanks for any assistance! Frank

very good...at your conveinence cell is 214-315-7500 thanks frank
 
use a stick

it's lighter, quick and easy, and you can paint it to match... or not.

Think of it as a speed device, a al Colin Chapman.

good advice...already have a adjustable clothes rod that does a nice job, but doesn't appear to be "factory" issue....

called the La Jolla BMW folks and no luck...anyone have a set of hood supports out there?? appreciate it---otherwise, guess I'll try to have it braised or welded, whatever the correct term is... thanks.
