Has anyone installed hood support rods or struts before? I no longer have the torsion bar, so I'm entertaining going with a different setup.

I'll try to remember to ask a friend that did a support rod ala csl...I remember the rod/seat was from a small Ford truck, can't remember if he fabb'd the hook/eye for the hood...Looked clean and not out of place...try to get pictures.

Gas hood struts
I doubt there will be much interest in this, given that there isn't really any reason to deviate from the stock torsion bar setup for most owners but I'll post just in case since the end result is very clean and cheap. I couldn't use the torsion bar because it would interfere with my EV...
