I need some help. I had to replace the hood support in my '70 2800CS with a new unit I bought from Penske.
I got it all bolted and screwed in which wasn't that easy cause of the tension on it, but it won't hold the hood open.
What am I doing wrong? Does the bar have to be "wound up" before it's bolted in?
Seems like if you do that it will kind of be like a big mouse trap!
Any help will be appreciated!
