GREAT IMAGES. thanks so much.
The E3 was a revolutionary car in terms of what us American's were used to.
AFAIK, it was the first 4-door sedan that could out run most of the sports cars of the time.
It ran rings around the best Benz in handling.
It handily out performed American sports cars including in straight line acceleration ... a 1975 Trans Am HO could barely make o-60 mile in under 12 seconds where my friends 2800 sedan did it in a tick under 10sec. The E3 was the car that transformed me from a hot rod kid to a BMW fanatic.

Thanks again for the pictures. It sure takes me back to my youth.

Looks like they really made an effort to get on par with Porsche and Mercedes this year, very nice indeed.

That is an impressive display. I hope that this is a sign that BMW is beginning to realize they need to pay closer attention to their heritage and the successes that led to what we all love about the marque. And perhaps it will reinvigorate BMW Classic to help us with some currently NLA parts? Probably just wishful thinking.

Its always nice to see the passion-- gives us fans something to cheer about I say :)

50 year e3 poster = cool

The fact BMW would print a large scale 2800 poster should be uplifting to sedan owners -- I found it interesting & a pleasant change from motorsport posters etc...

A little background context for that poster would add to it's appeal IMHO (ie. Eiffel tower in the distance or downtown Munich)

I agree -- a must see show.
