its been a while since i put it in and would someone be able to post a pic of the right side upper mount
where the spring is.
not sure if i have the right bracket as i doesnt screw up to the dash.
instead it has huts attached
maybe someone has an extra mount i could buy
maybe a pic of how the spring works as its not in the manual
the bracket i have has two nuts on the inside top and the bottom of the dash has two screw holes that
are closer together. like there should be a plate between?

The spring clips to a tab welded on the body. The horizontal support rod inserts into the left to a tab, which is welded to the body. The right tab is screwed to the body. It is thin metal and would be easy to fabricate with a vise, hammer, dremmel, and drill. I don’t want to remove mine to measure because the screws will likely snap. I can measure it though.

Pardon my rust...

thanks for the help markos
i have those holes
but for some reason they dont line up
the holes in the bracket are wider and have nuts on the top side is
that right?
looks like i need those plastic grommets too
seems like there should be a plate to pick up the back screw
and the 74 must have been revised to prehold the screws?

That definitely isn’t the correct bracket. I’m not sure what that is from though. The only A-shapes bracket with captured nuts that I know of is the throttle stop. That doesn’t look like a throttle stop either.
