How many layers of paint does your E9 car have?

looks like every bmw color was on there at some point

perhaps somebody had trouble making up their mind ??? or this coupe had many owners ... each had a different belief on what the color should be. with all of that buildup of paint, how distorted was the definition of the body lines?

2 coats of epoxy primer, 2 coats of high build primer, 2 coats of colour and 2 coats of clear. That's plenty surely

You will truly have a CS lightweight after paint removal,all of that material weighs something.
