According to 'how many left' - 2012 Quarter 2 - there are altogether 231 E9's left in the UK.

More than I had thought - These are cars both taxed & cars off the road.

Yes - I nerdily counted them all up...includes the 2800 cs - there were no 2500 cs's.

Most common are the CSL & the CSi - guess because they are the most collectable in the UK.

131 E9's taxed and on the road and again the most common being the CSL with 50 - then CSi with 43.

2.5 cs

Maybe is listed under the BMW 2500 or info just inaccurate. Found zero Ferrari Daytona's /365 GTB/4...

Think was estimated here that there were around 5000 E9's left worldwide - if so - 25,000 gone to the grave.

CS Registry tally

We have 1607 listed in our registry. That includes any we found on the was to the crusher, parts cars, seen in adds, and garage queens!

If you have any way of getting the VIN from any UK E9 not listed in the registry, please do so.

Half of the total

I asked W&N a few years ago. They thought perhaps half, i.e. some 15,000.
That is wishful thinking, in my opinion, from someone who sells spare parts for these cars.
If prices for perfect E9s was to double, this would make it worthwhile bringing out all the recks from hiding, and start rebuilding them. With current prices, they will never hit the road again, as far as I reckon. Germany of course has the most but I don´t know the number of registered cars there. Several thousand I would imagine.

I have at least 100 on a list that I need to add to the registry. Good job for a snowy night in NH
