First i want to apologize for my poor english in the next sentences!
I bought a Getrag 262 5-speed gearbox in good shape from an E28 a few weeks ago, but without the speedometer drive.
I want to install this gearbox into my E3....
I have a couple of not needed 4-speed-Getrags in my sparepart-container, all within the axle drive, but i cant dismantle the worm wheel.
No chance, i had to disassemble the whole gearbox to get this fu.....ing wheel ! :twisted:
I could have kicked myself. So i decide to build an extractor to get them off easyer.
Maybe a few of my colleagues in Vienna will need such a tool too.
