Taking apart my first fuel injected model('75 3.0Si)figure it's same as coupe, but no experience with removing bundle of wires that run from engine thru frame rail and under back seat to controller box.End at back has terminal connector that seems too big to fit thru hole in front floor and hole in rail at engine.End of wire on engine also seems too big to pull thru opposite direction.Do you disconnect all the little wires and then reconnect after you pull it thru??Carbed cars aren't this difficult!

You must tape up the sharp corners of the connectors tightly with electrical tape and stagger them through the channel. It worked for me.

Harness removal...

Ed-

On a coupe with D-jet you remove the multi-prong connector cover from the "brain's" box under the rear seat and then you can unplug the connector (big flat unit with lots of wires).

Wrap it with some plastic and tape tightly so it can pass through the rail without damaging it. If you don't have a helper you'll have to push the harness from inside the car and then go to the engine bay and pull- back an forth till you get it out the front rail opening.
