I am a computer illiterate. I have photos of some parts on my laptop and phone but no clue how to load them into a for sale post. I do not have a flicker or other photo account but willing to open one. Help!

Add the photo's to your computer folder such as "my photos" and then go to the manage attachments button below and browse for the particular photo(s) (one-at-a-time) and hit upload. You may have to re-size the photo if it fails. So, that's from one technology challenged member to another :-)

Use the Test Forum to practice. Create a post and use the "Manage Attachments" below the text input area. It will prompt you to navigate to the photos on your computer to upload one at a time. Try one and see if it works, the test forum posts get deleted regularly.

I upload photos to my photo bucket account (free) then paste the link in the thread.

If it won't attach it is too large. You can open your photo on the computer, right click the mouse to open Edit. Then click Resize, a drop down appears, choose Large Web size, click OK and then you must hit Save above your photo in the Toolbar. Go back to Manage Attachments and select this photo. It will show up as attached in 4 or 5 seconds, then close that box in upper right corner.

Many images?

Some threads have a huge string of photos, can any one tell me how is that done please? Best I can manage is 5 as attachments and not in the thread.
Thanks C

To do this, the images need to be online and accessible. If you have a photo account, you use the URL of your photos. If the forum supports attached photos (as this one does), you can attach photos and use the URL of the photo (if you can identify the URL).

To put photos in your post, you use the
insertimage.gif
icon when editing a post. The icon makes it easy, asking for a URL and including the image tags as needed. Alternatively, you can manually use image tags.

You wrap the image with tags as such:

url][b]

To show an image like this:

Thank you

Ok, I think I get that, so now I need a place online to store them and guess that Dropbox is not going to work. Any suggestions where is easy and idealy free?
Thanks for the help.
