How to read the Parts Book?

I am embarrassed to have to ask this, but how do I read the Parts book? Under the section of this forum in Tech there is a pdf of the parts book, the diagrams show the parts and each is labelled, 1,2, etc, but how do I turn that item number into a Part number? I was looking at page 329 and want the part number and description for item 14 from the diagram.
What I really want is a the part number for the bracket that attaches the windscreen washer flex pipe /hose to the bonnet / hood hinge. Perhaps it is item 14 from the above.

I don’t know if you can. I thought most people look up the numbers on RealOEM:

My method has been to try unsuccessful for a while, and then call @HB Chris for help. With his guidance, I have gotten slightly better at it - but it is still a fascinating challenge.

The item numbers are only on the left hand page in German and this is a direct copy of the Orange books.

Thanks for all of your help, I now use the real oem site for part numbers.

Be careful with RealOEM, it will show applicability for a part when that isn’t the case. What this really means is yes a certain part could be used but modifications may be required.
