***Mark your calendars Sunday June 1st. 2014***

It's that time of year again where every day is sunny in California and every weekend there's a Concours!!!

This will be the second year of our own organized BMW class. We had a great turnout last year 32 cars total, we would love to see that number double!!!

Please join us in supporting the Huntington Beach Public Library and this great cause.

Guys we need more BMW's and especially more Coupes!!!

Our very own HB Chris will be judging, as well as, other familiar faces.

Class update!

Here are the BMW classes:
05A Vintage: All cars 1975 and older
05B BMW: 1975 – 1981
05C BMW: 1982 – 1992
05D BMW: Contemporary 1993 to Present

When registering there are 3 different sub categories, Street Concours, and Display. Street is exterior, interior, and trunk. Concours is exterior, interior, trunk, engine bay, and undercarriage. Display is display.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Well, for those of us in the greater Southern California area, we are past Bimmerfest and yesterday was the San Diego Chapter's concours.

This coming Saturday is the So Cal Vintage drive that will take folks to Jeff Tighe's shop. Sure to be a great gathering of vintage BMW's there.

The following weekend, June 1st, is our Huntington Beach Concours. Looking at the most current list of entries and there are some familiar names there as well as some I've not met before. I know there are more E9's and E3's out there - sure would be nice to see a Bavaria or two (John, you got your ears on?) and a couple more coupes.

Looking forward to seeing folks there, will be the typically beautiful weather and a great opportunity to hang out with folks and enjoy a day in the park.

Marco,
Sunday is the day you will want to register for.

The categories are broken down in to age of car then Concours or Street. The street category is for exterior, interior, and trunk. The Concours category is for all the above plus engine and under carriage.

By the way, there is also a "Display Only" category.

I hope this helps.

Thank you,
Mike

What day would be the day to go? Saturday or Sunday?

As Mike wrote, you want to be there on Sunday. Saturday is for hot rods.

In past years, food service at Huntington Beach has been a bit limited (unless kettle korn is your idea of nourishment). So packing a lunch might be prudent. Water too.

Jay has a great point. This event is held at a very nice park setting. We all get together and have a group picnic after the judging so please pack your coolers with your favorite food and drink, bring some to share and also your beach chairs!
