I am a new member from Phoenix.

Welcome, Paul. Did you ever go look at that E9 in Oro Valley? I've been curious to learn more about any E9s around here.
-Andy (Scottsdale).

My friend Chris Kohler looked at it a while back if it's the same car. Garaged in AZ owner in SF. Several years ago was asking $49K now $59K noted it hasn't sold. Chris said it appears to be relatively rust free but will eat $20K real quick In fact we were just talking about it yesterday

I drove it in early March while on vacation there and discussed it with Chris. The car has been maintained well and has an overhauled original engine. It‘s a San Francisco car, and drives well. Obvious needs include rear seat leather, dash repair, wood repair, and repaint has some issues as well as screwed on door guard strips. PM me if you want more details because the list of little stuff goes on.

Bert, good to know about the Oro Valley car. Thanks.

When this COVID restriction lifts, it'd be good to get some cars together with you and Chris. I could use some input on what needs to be done with my E9.

-Andy (Scot ) The owner in SF was offended by my persistent inquiry about rust so didn't allow me to see it. I'm realizing rust-free and original examples of these gorgeous cars are really rare but do exist. Note the Arizona car on BaT a month ago.

Spoke to Chris today. He is pretty sure the owner has now jacked it to $75K. He also said the car is clean but will still eat up the usual bunch of $$ Also he said the car is supposed to have a rebuilt motor in it.
