I found a radar detector.

I found a K40 SS700 remore radar receiver behind the drivers side grill.

Company is still around and making detectors. Google found them.

Never heard of them before?

If only it could talk?

whats it look like? in the 70's i had a detector that had two acrylic tapered rod antennas. had them mounted thru the grill in my 2002 - barely noticeable. don't remember the maker.

Hi Scott,

AC rebuild is moving along.
New expansion valve.
Tested evaporator for leaks.
New hoses with schrader SP? valves.
New parallel flow condenser.
Luckily It had a newer Sanden compressor.
You need to come see it when I get most of it back together.

The radar unit is just a square plastic case with fins on it.
Has arrows showing which way it should face.
It is the reciever part and had a 3 conductor cable going to the interior.
Haven't found the other end yet.

Discovered lots of bolts and nuts that are wrong or US instead of metric and also where body attachment points are missing a nut or a clip to hold a bolt. Car has been messed with over the years.
