Identify this screw/bolt....

Is this maybe the flat-head screw from below that holds the dash tray in place? Not sure how I ended up with one, not three. (....thought it was the under-dash pad from a 2002, but too big..)

These are the "cheese head" bolts that hold the bottom cover on the steering column. I'd found a source in the UK years ago and made a bulk order.

Well, they are hidden and phillips would be easier to find when hunting for it blind

You can find them at Belmetric. You think the slotted is hard to find, Belmetric offers them with "snake eyes."

I have some if anyone needs them. I changed to allen head bolts because they are a lot easier to find when hunting for it blind.

If @dave v. in nc held up some random Phillips head machine screw and asked what it was, the chorus of responses would have been "that's not a bolt from an E9 or E3". But because it was the correct slotted cheese head original, we get to pontificate not only what it is and where it goes, but who might have a spare and how to get new ones if necessary. What a joyous affair.
