Hi,
I'm having trouble with getting my '74cs starting:
The ignition key turns fine to the "ACC" position, but I can no longer reach the "start" position. I can turn the key past the "ACC" position but it seems to reach a stopper before the start point.
I removed the ignition switch, which seems to work fine.
I'm thinking the tumbler may have too much play.
Anybody had the same issue?

Either the lock housing or lock or switch
Remove all three and inspect.
32321120577 Will fit for housing about 50 bucks
32321112863 For switch and housing about 160 bucks

Locks from e12 non Pebra fit for 45 bucks 32321108976

it's a pita
Hint:
You need a hammer and chisel

There's a bunch of bolts that hold the assembly together.
5 of them
Very special bolts called fracture bolts
When tightened for assembly the head breaks off
That's what keeps thieves from stealing cars
Your job is to use a chisel to loosen and remove these headless bolts
Plan on a couple hours the first time you do this.
