I tried searching for my problem but couldn't find the answer to my ignition switch problem. Key was stuck in ignition when I tried to take it out and next thing you know the whole tumble part came out with key. Now I got all these little tiny pins, springs, and caps that came out with the tumbler. By inspecting the tumbler and key, I kinda got how the pins are placed on the tumbler with springs and caps but how do you get the tumbler back into the ignition switch with them on?

Also what keeps the tumbler from sliding out? I can insert the tumbler with the key and no pins, and turn and start the car and turn it off but the tumbler is kinda loose and can slide out somewhat.

Take it to a locksmith or get another switch then take it to a locksmith and have it keyed to your key.

Push the locking cam

It might be that the key has to be in the run position as well IIRC.

Carl Nelson at LaJolla Independant is the go to guy for this one. Give him a call and he will straighten you out.
