Hi, when buying car parts and tools etcetera in the US I use the address to a shipping company based in Newark. When the goods are received they send it to me in Norway for a fair price. By doing this Iḿ able to buy from US companies which does not ship goods across the pond and I also get free shipping inside US from time to time. (Some companies also charge insane prices for shipping overseas).
Recently I bought a Toyota Landcruiser BJ46, 81 model (my new LEGO car:)) and a Parts supplier in Columbia offer free shipping to US. How much import tax and custom duties do I have to pay on spare parts?

ColOmbians hate it when people spell ColUmbia…

just sayin…

Henrik? There is no Columbia in South America.

That is like saying you live in Nurway.

And I live in Amurica...

The US has some sort of trade promotion agreement with Colombia - I believe cars and car parts can enter the US duty free under the agreement. Not sure if they need to be manufactured there. Look for info on the US-Colombia Trade Promotion Implementation Act.

Yes, I can import parts for less than $200 dollars free of taxes...but I don't know about the United States...
