In a $1,500 Weber upgrade

Look at the backround. Remember the Flinstone mobile and the Silver for sale? That should tell you who the seller is.

Where is the speaker grille? And that is not exactly World Upholstery carpet. I'll bet this is a 20+ foot paint job.
In the world of advertising copywriters where I labored many years ago, "virtually" anything was called a weasel word. Most consumers believe it means 100%. It does not of course. If the engine bay is any indication I would be suspicious of the owner's claims.
And they didn't even put an $8. chrome thingey over the exhaust pipe.

$16,000. + and Earl Sheib paint job = trouble.

Hello,
Ran and Oneil. This car is mine and its not a POS as you note. I welcome you to come and visit it in person if you are indeed interested in purchasing it. Otherwise saying its been in a fire is merely here say and incorrect. Let me give you some answers to your assumptions-

*No car fire
*Paint is very nice. not concours or show. some overspray as pictured but not a bad paintjob. It is not an earl shieb paint job
*Original air cleaner can use a sand and repaint
*Tail pipe only shows rust on end of pipe. Muffler is not rusty. Have pics.
*NO Rust on shock towers, rockers, floors and spare tire well.

The word virtually no rust was used but not meant to down play any major rust. Its a very good solid car for being 37 years old and better than other CS coupes i have seen that claimed no rust.

It is a very nice driver or weekend car. Very strong mechanically and clean interior. The price is very reasonable at 16900 especially for a southern california car.

(PS To the Seller....Considering the poor condition or salvage titled cars (that atan mentions previously here) that have come and gone from this very spot (warehouse) it's the least we can do to show you just who you are dealing with...?)

Ran pls dont include me in your comments. I never mentioned anything regarding a salvage car that was sold. I simply said to look at the backround and you would know who the seller is. The rusty Verona car and the Silver CS was shot in the same backround.

Ran or James Phipps,
You seem to be a 3.0 CS expert but i dont believe you own one. I noticed in many posts that you look at cars but never seem to buy one. Funny how you are the biggest critic and dont even have a CS coupe.

I really dont appreciate you spreading rumors that i am selling salvage cars and putting words in alvins mouth. Just so you know I have sold many CS coupes and represent every car honestly.

Btw this car was never posted in this forum. It was posted for sale on CL. You chose to bash my car in the forum and I dont want you spreading rumors about my business or cars that you have not seen in person. Also why dont you mention that you inquired about this car and my silver CS coupe as well. Why inquire if you dont intend to buy a car. Dont waste sellers time if your not serious. Keep dreaming of owning one...

Ran Run Ren your mouth bc that all you can afford to do. You are full of S**T. Dont waste peoples time with your endless rattling and time wasting. Your comments are based on never owning a DAM CS and pure crap. We are all tired of your "almost, would've, could've stories".

Who would hire your services. An expert with no expertise is who you are.

Try to buy a car and post it up so we can see what you have and then we will critique it here. You pass on every car bc it has a problems?? or seller not willing to cooperate. How come you piss off every seller off in the forum. Plainly simple- Time waster and NOT serious. You fly to the bay area and waste time and money to kick tires. You must have no life... posting 3am in the morning.

Let me get this right...

Jranman: I and many here could tell by just listening to the engine run .... to see what's accurate and I invite the seller to provide a .wav file of same so that we could do just that...

From a wav file played through computer speakers (recorded with what I can only imagine, an older model Dictaphone?), you are going to determine the condition of the engine? Boy, you are good.

Do you actually charge your "clients" for this service? If so, I've got some rare ocean front property in Utah they may be interested in. I can send a wav file of the ocean crashing on the rocks.:-D

Jranman: Personally I would shut-up if I were you...lest you end up with foot in mouth,

Practice what you preach big boy. Start now.

I am one of our older members, 60+, and been here since rust was first found on an E9.

My mother taught me a very good lesson while I was a child.

If you don't have something intelligent or nice to say about someone/something, then shut the $+#& up!

Sorry for the disruption to the pissing contest.
As you were!

steve

I would take that smiley face back too.....
For my thoughts - there is nothing to smile about.
Don't 'even' give me any of you 'lip' partner....
