Does anyone have the part number for the in-tank high pressure fuel pump that Carl Nelson's shop uses for the CS tank (feeding injectors)? They are closed today and I am stuck out of town with a failed pump. I searched the forum and only found reference to the e21. More specifics would help. Thanks

these are the parts my car has in it ... from real oem ... they are from an e24. i also understand that the similar parts from an e21 also work. no idea which parts that Carl Nelson sells ... or what the wiring differences are from stock csi to these parts ... just that this is what is on the car w/ a stock carb cs gas tank and a 3.5 fi engine.

Make sure you extend the metal pipes on the pump assembly with fuel line and hose clamps so that the sender and fuel pick up screen are at the same level

Update

The part number for the fuel pump I installed is: 16 14 1 184 022. This is the in-tank high pressure version and not the pre-supply pump. It will need to be extended to reach the bottom of the tank. All my pump problems were caused by a completely plugged fuel filter. It was brand new and must of plugged with debris in the new lines (or been defective). A hard and expensive lesson learned (burned out pumps - maybe).
