Hi All
After almost two years of work in the E9 that I bought in very bad condition, it is already beginning to take shape, and I have decided to share the state of the work, which I would never have done alone, if it were not for the careful reading of a lot of posts in this forum that have been of great help to me. Thank you all.
I also have to thank DEquincy for the help, since being in Spain has helped me a lot in the restoration.

The car belonged to someone called Ingrid in Koln, hence the name of the car.
I attach some photos of the initial state and of the restoration.
I have decided to do restomod, improving some things in the car that, although they are not original, I have been forced to do it since many parts were missing.

Thanks

Great work !!!

In case you don´t know:
Ingrid in Germany is female. o_O:)

....The name Ingrid originated from the combination of the Old Norse words "ingwia" (consecrated to the tribal or rain god Ingwio) and "friðr" (beauty).

Best Regards; Willy

Wow that is an amazing transformation , she is a beauty !!! Well done .

Great to see another "lady" rising from almost "ashes"!

Your pictures made me believe I also have a chance to help my Eleonore to rise from the darkness of a rust and grease.

Nice work. The front nose and restoration of the fender arches is very well done. I would have thought it a throw away car from the original pics. Way to bring it back. It gives me inspiration to work on my car that I thought was a mess. It’s practically concourse compared to your starting point

I recently finished the Neil Gaiman book on Norse mythology. My son is a big fan. does friðr have any relation to the goddess "freya"? Anyway your car looks awesome, great job insulating the interior, I can imagine how quiet that cabin will be!

Some fore photos..... will run very soon
