INKA CSL on Ebay again

OK, I admit it. Inka is a cool color. It's very cool. I don't know what's snapped in me but in the past few weeks I've gotten incredibly tired of silver cars, both new and old. Last night as I tucked my beloved CSL away for the evening I almost wished I'd painted it Chamonix. This eBay car appears to be very nice indeed. It's definitely been dumped though, the rear ride height is LOW. Interesting seatbelt fitment. Owner obviously has the same problem finding belts that work with Scheels that we all do. From the photos the car looks really nice though. I still don't think it will go for over $40K though.

are you having a meltdown or what , Liking INKA wanting to go Chamonix!
I love my coupe and its whiteness but as Kurt pointed out at the Historics last year they go pretty unnoticed at shows, the cars that get the attention are the Blues(love Kurts) , Silver (nice but way too many IMHO) and Inka (love it). Chamonix coupes just get ignored . Mind you they are a rarity now. If I go the full Monty on my coupe it will probabaly go Inka . Just a respray will be Chamonix with the blue /red pinstripes.
Picking up my 2002 track car this weekend so anyone out there with any advice re setups please email off board. Its a 70 roundie and yes its silver.

Yeah, well........................just goes to show I'm not too set in my ways yet. I'm not yet ready for yelling out the door (still in my bathrobe at 2PM), "you goddamned kids get your car off my lawn". Oh wait, I don't have a lawn, and even if I did, people couldn't get to it without having to run the gauntlet that is "the hounds of hell".

I don't know, I just looked at that car and all of a sudden the color made sense. So I apologize, whole heartedly and unreservedly for my previous "besmirchifying" of Inka. I meant no malice or harm to the feelings of any Inka colored cars or their owners. Only one I know personally is Chris Provo, so Chris, as Fonzie said, "I was wr...............I was.........................I was wro..................I was wrong".

Inka CSL - Anyone family with its history?

This was a coupking restored car if I recall from an earlier thread. Can't find the archive, but I recall some folks here knew its history fairly well. Any insight would be appreciated.

twharp49 I believe is Tom Harper, a BMW dealer in TN. Bought the 20k CSL on ebay and says he will be having Don Detlefsen restore it. Appears to have a burning desire for CSLs. Wonder what that's like ;)
