At around 11:19 minutes in this excellent video explaining the E9 rocker sill construction, a repair piece is shown and referenced.

Piece looks too perfect to have been hand made (unless these guys are really really good), so where did they get it? Anyone have a source or idea?

W&N shows what looks like the outer fender flare repair. What video shows and what we are looking for in the inner mating piece.

There are two vendors that sell the entire inner arch and they are not cheap. Hate to have to buy the entire piece just to chop off the piece needed. Perhaps that what they did in the video.

Thanks in advance,

Hello,
I assume you are talking about the inner wheel arch piece. It is still available from WN. I have a pair and am working on the right side right now.

If you are asking about the other "ribbed" or structural piece that lives behind the quarter panel, I don't think anyone makes this. Which is to say, you need to fabricate it yourself (or have it fabricated). I am fabricating the ribbed piece on mine. For what it's worth, the footage you are referring to is at about 6:00 minutes in (the whole video is 11:19).

Hope this helps.

The part in the video is indeed a chopped off section of a full wheel arch repair panel from Walloth

The grey colour and its contour are 100% match.

I had the same dilemma, too expensive for my budget to spend twice 150 euro on 2 pieces of steel of just 25*25 cm (10*10 inch). I just build it from scratch. I threw away the first 4 tries or so.....then I build a steel form to hammer the complex edge.

Looks like I'm back to fabricating the piece. I just could not find the entire inner arch on W&N, I only found the outer, so thanks for the link.
