As I was driving the coupe the other day it struck me how much I enjoyed the large greenhouse feel and panoramic view. Of course it was an ideal 50 degrees and perfect for driving with the windows down w/ no heat or ac. I did not notice the greenish tint to my windshield nor did I miss the rear-view mirror!

My interior guy re-upholstered the section in front of the sunroof but did not cut the hole for the mirror mount which is still there because I had a mirror when there was no headliner and I can still feel it.

My question is can I just make a single slit or do I need to cut a small rectangular hole? When I do this, do I need to use pinking shears to prevent fraying (mom's a seamstress) of the headliner or rubber cement?

And of course, measure once, cut twice or is it the other way around!

Mine was out so I looked- cut corners of rectangle hole and fold back and secure with contact cement. Mirror should just push in (spring loaded)
