Working on cleaning and repairing another gauge cluster for fun .. This is the turn signal indicator on the tach pod, I've never seen this rubber still functional and soft!
Very well preserved set so far, except for the nonfunctional clock.

what's the function of the rubber in the part?
Is it shielding the light, so that it only passes through the symbol at the front? (which funny enought seems to be a "B" shape?)

Correct. "Light funnel".
Oh, it's the handbrake light not turn signal... Hence the B.
