I'd like to have the original wood knob refinished; any alternatives while that's happening? I checked the parts diagram and it seems like all e9 knobs are NLA. I've seen some black leather w/ roundel knobs in photos but not sure where they're from? Thanks!

new leather ones are always on ebay for about $80. Used wood ones come up fairly regularly

I see that this knob is supposed to be Genuine BMW but the roundel is a sticker? And poorly centered at that?

LenS send me a PM I have an excellent condition wood with inlaid plastic roundel from my 2002. You are welcome to borrow it until yours is finished.

I think that is a stock picture (they have several for sale) and with the angle may appear to be off as mentioned, the logo should be encased in clear plastic. Perhaps ask for a real pic or try another seller.

I was able to find one on eBay with a confirmed plastic roundel; that image did not inspire confidence!
