Due to a blown head gasket on my Mini Clubman the '74 E-9 has become the "daily driver"! Because I'm seeing it every day the bad chrome is annoying. Does anyone know where, or even if it's possible, to get the chromed plastic inserts for the vent window control knobs (need both), and the rectangular one at the top of the door pull (only need driver side). Beyond these small issues the car is so nice to use after running the Mini every day, although the shifter is a little "tight" compared to many I've used. I wonder if taking it all apart, cleaning & oiling & reassembling would make it better?
